Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the lives of people battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) through support, advocacy, and research funding. Our organization strives to increase awareness about the obstacles people living with ALS and their families face as they embark on this journey and foster a community of hope, empowerment, and strength. Team Goose dedicates its efforts towards research for effective treatments, the production of a cure, and victim access to resources they need to live the best and most comfortable lives possible.

A DAY TO FORGET and A DAY TO REMEMBER

In order to achieve our mission of improving the lives of those battling ALS we have committed to finding a cure through helping fund programs at Massachusetts General's Healey AMG Center for ALS. While researchers at the Healey Center work towards a cure we at Team Goose have created an additional program that we will fund for patients at the Healey Center called A Day To Forget And A Day To Remember. This program aims to give the most important gift to those battling ALS, a smile. We create memorable experiences for ALS patients, their families, and friends where they all can forget for a moment about the hardships of the disease and they can smile, laugh, and create memories with their loved ones that they will always remember. Often times with ALS the patients are bound to wheelchairs or have very limited mobility and can no longer attend events like sports games, concerts, shows with ease, but with this program Team Goose takes care of all logistics regarding accessibility, transport, tickets, etc. We aim to bring nothing but smiles for these families and provide a Day to Forget ALS and a Day to Always Remember.

A DAY TO FORGET and A DAY TO REMEMBER with ZAC BROWN BAND

AUGUST 2024

This summer we hosted our first Day to Forget and Day to Remember event at Six String Bar in Foxborough, Massachusetts at a private show and Q&A with Zac Brown Band. John Driscoll Hopkins the lead guitarists of ZBB has been battling ALS for 2 years now and is incredible inspiration that life does not need to go on hold for this disease as he continues to tour, play guitar, sing, and write songs.

We hosted 3 incredible women and their families to this private show with the band and got to meet and chat with Hop! The smiles and memories we made with these inspiring women and their families is why we created this program.
